Chapter Ministry Director

Where and when did you get started with YFC?
1989 as a volunteer. I came on staff part time in 1996 and full time in January 2000.

What is your current position and what do you do?
My current position is in transition. My new position will be Ministry Director. I will be responsible to lead ministry staff in their given ministries chapter wide. I will do this through tools of accountability and mentoring.

How did you get called to ministry?
I came to know Christ at 28. God took my heart of stone and replaced it with flesh. I have been forgiven of much. From the time of my surrender to Christ I have been sharing the message of reconciliation. God has continued to put in my path greater platforms to reach more people. I have simply followed the breadcrumb trail He has left for me..

How would you describe your family?
I am married to a beautiful and intelligent woman named Julie.  We have 5 kids and 7 grand kids.

What are some things you like to do outside of work?
I like being with family.. I enjoy games of all kinds. I like camping and fishing and going for walks.

What is something interesting that few people know about you?
I was an all star baseball player in high school.. I have worked as a chef. I worked 20+ years in food service.

What is (are) your favorite sport team(s)?
I love playing most any sport but I find little enjoyment watching others get all the fun. I don’t follow sports.

What is (are) your favorite food(s)?
Good steak, medium rare covered in sautéed mushrooms and onions, a baked potato with lots of butter, sour cream, and pepper and sautéed asparagus.  Of course, salad with all the veggies including raw peas and fresh bleu cheese dressing.

What is (are) the most extreme place(s) you have traveled to?
Puerto Rico.

 


 

Jim Cole is the Woodbury County Ministry Director for Siouxland YFC. Jim started volunteering in 1989 and came on staff in 1996. As Ministry Director, Jim is responsible to lead ministry staff in their ministries chapter wide.  He is compelled by Gods love to tell all about that love. One of his desires is to see people involved in seeking the lost. Jim is married, has 5 children and 7 grandchildren.
