Sioux City, IA, June 27, 2025 – Youth for Christ, a leading non-profit organization in Siouxland that works with 11–19-year-olds, today announced the commencement of a search for a new Executive Director. This search follows the recent announcement of the current Executive Director, Karl Van Cura, transitioning out of the role in January 2026. Youth for Christ Siouxland is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to guide the organization into its next chapter of growth and impact.
“We are grateful for Karl’s dedicated service and leadership,” said Dan Krause, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “Under their tenure, Youth for Christ has achieved significant milestones in expanding into 3 new communities and several areas of ministry. We are committed to finding a successor who will build on this legacy and continue to advance our mission.”
The new Executive Director will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, overseeing all aspects of the organization’s operations, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing strategic plans
- Managing the organization’s budget and resources
- Leading fundraising and development efforts
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
- Representing the organization to the community and media
