We’re excited to announce a transition in the Executive Director role from Karl Van Cura to Dan Bittinger, effective December 1st! For more than a decade, Dan has served in ministry in Sioux City. His connection to SYFC goes back many years: his church has partnered with us for over two decades and he was an active volunteer at one of our Campus Life sites. What excites Dan most about leading SYFC is working alongside a team who loves Jesus and is passionate about giving hope to teens. He looks forward to helping staff and volunteers use their God-given gifts to serve His Kingdom.
When asked how our community can pray for him and his leadership as Executive Director, he said: “Pray that the Lord would give me discernment, not just to do the good things, but the best things He’s calling us to.” Dan shared that he’s humbled and honored to lead this next season of ministry and looks forward to meeting partners and local churches soon. Karl will be transitioning to chapter Development Director.
