Our leaders were handing out burritos at a local skate park during our park outreach program when they first met Isaac. He had friends that came to the Teen Center and had invited him to join them, but he had not gone with them yet. After talking with him for a while, our leaders told him they would be praying for him and that he was always welcome at the Teen Center.
A few months later, Isaac came to the Teen Center! He quickly became a regular and said “yes” to Jesus at Winter Retreat later that year. Isaac became dedicated to growing in his faith and sharing Jesus’s love with others. He joined the Emerging Leader program and came to YFC Camp that summer, too! In addition to all of the fun and games that happen at Camp, students and leaders are given time to spend intentionally with Jesus. Isaac took this opportunity and, during that time, he decided to be baptized by our Camp leaders later that week!
It has been incredible to witness how the Lord has worked in Isaac’s life. Praise God for using a conversation at a skate park to transform a life!
