A City Life Small Group Leader leads weekly small groups using YFC- and leader-created focused on Biblical topics, the Gospel, or relevant life issues. Volunteers should be passionate about mentoring youth in the Sioux City community and able to commit up to 2-4 hours per week. Responsibilities include fostering relationships, leading discussions, creating small group lessons, and praying for students.

A mentor builds one-on-one or small group relationships with students, supporting YFC's mission to nurture lifelong followers of Jesus through Christ-centered mentorship. Volunteers should have a passion for youth mentorship, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage with adolescents consistently. Responsibilities include meeting with students individually or in groups, fostering ongoing communication, participating in events or outings, and praying for the students. The time commitment is flexible, averaging 1-2 hours per week.

A Family Meal Time Cook prepares meals for 45-55 youth and volunteers at the Teen Center during City Life programming. Volunteers should have basic cooking skills, a passion for Siouxland YFC’s mission, and a desire to provide meals for youth, some of whom may lack consistent access to food at home. Responsibilities include meal prep, coordinating with YFC staff, and following safety and sanitation guidelines. Time commitment is flexible, with options to serve weekly or monthly.

A Maintenance Crew Member assists with maintenance tasks at the Teen Center, coordinating with staff to address building and property needs. Volunteers should have maintenance experience, the ability to perform manual labor, and good communication skills for scheduling tasks. Responsibilities include handling minor repairs, maintaining tools, and collaborating with other maintenance team members. The time commitment is minimal, typically 1-2 hours per week as needed.

A Community Support Team Member advocates for Siouxland YFC by networking with local organizations, supporting funding efforts, and providing encouragement to YFC staff and volunteers. Volunteers should have strong communication and relational skills, enjoy networking, and be passionate about YFC’s mission. This role requires 1-2 hours per month with a minimum one-year commitment.

A Community Engagement Team Member supports the event process by inviting guests, attending events, distributing invitations, hosting tables, making follow-up calls, being a liaison to their churches, and assisting with event planning. This role helps connect like-minded individuals to Siouxland YFC to support its mission of reaching lost teens and introducing them to Jesus. Volunteers should have strong communication and networking skills and a passion for YFC’s mission. The role requires 2-5 hours per month for up to six months.

A Event Support volunteer assists with the setup, teardown, and production of YFC events, with roles varying based on event needs. Tasks may include event planning, purchasing supplies (with reimbursement), making or donating food, promoting events, and other assigned duties. Volunteers should be passionate about Siouxland YFC’s mission, have good communication skills, enjoy teamwork, and be able to lift up to 10 pounds. No prior event planning experience is required. The role requires 1-2 hours per month with a minimum one-year commitment.
