Serve Youth In Rock Rapids

Join our movement of volunteers who are passionate about introducing 11-19 year-olds to Jesus. We’re not looking for perfect people or superstars; just those who are willing to listen well, to be themselves, and to be present in a young person’s life!

  • A City Life Small Group Leader leads weekly small groups using YFC- and leader-created focused on Biblical topics, the Gospel, or relevant life issues. Volunteers should be passionate about mentoring youth in the Rock Rapids community and able to commit up to 2-4 hours per week. Responsibilities include fostering relationships, leading discussions, creating small group lessons, and praying for students.

  • A Family Meal Time Cook prepares meals for *NUMBER* youth and volunteers at the Teen Center during City Life programming. Volunteers should have basic cooking skills, a passion for Siouxland YFC’s mission, and a desire to provide meals for youth, some of whom may lack consistent access to food at home. Responsibilities include meal prep, coordinating with YFC staff, and following safety and sanitation guidelines. Time commitment is flexible, with options to serve weekly or monthly.

  • A Maintenance Crew Member assists with maintenance tasks at the Teen Center, coordinating with staff to address building and property needs. Volunteers should have maintenance experience, the ability to perform manual labor, and good communication skills for scheduling tasks. Responsibilities include handling minor repairs, maintaining tools, and collaborating with other maintenance team members. The time commitment is minimal, typically 1-2 hours per week as needed.
